To be honest, there's not many companies who offer the same services we do with the same experience and knowledge we have. Many companies specialize in some of the services we provide but many of those people haven't worked in the field or worked on the other side of the table. We provide top quality service that is hard to find in this field. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to temporary traffic control. That's where we bring in our experience and knowledge to help you formulate a plan that minimizes delays and reduces the overall costs associated with your project. Additionally, we can navigate the various processes out there easier as we have experience in prior positions.
In short, it is always highly recommended that anytime you work near pedestrians or vehicles, you should have temporary traffic control in place. But the true answer is that it is dependent on your project. No two projects are the same and each project has it's unique challenges. That's where we come in. We will meet with you to go over your project, identify what traffic control needs you are going to have, and help you get your documents in order so that you can start work as soon as possible.
Temporary traffic control is designed to protect you and your crew working in the field while also protecting the public. The Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) states under Chapter 6A.01 "The needs and control of all road users (motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians within the highway, or on private roads open to public travel (see definition in Section 1A.13), including persons with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Title II, Paragraph 35.130) through a TTC zone shall be an essential part of highway construction, utility work, maintenance operations, and the management of traffic incidents." What does this mean? It means that traffic control is essential and a SHALL when managing traffic. Even if your project is on private property, you still have to access public right-of-way to access your jobsite. Nealy any project will need some type of traffic control in place to ensure safety for all.
The answer is that temporary traffic control is one of, if not the most, important parts of any construction project. There's a common saying, if you have time to do a task halfway, you have time to do it again. While temporary traffic control can be expensive depending on your project, the lawsuits, suspensions of work, and other civil and criminal proceedings that come following an incident happening in your work zone are far more expensive then just doing it right the first time. Our team will meet with you to identify your needs or any issues present from the start of the project to the end so that it's as cost-effective as possible while maintaining safety and compliance.
In the City of Austin, it is required per city codes to have a ROW permit if you meet any of the following requirements:
If you're unsure if a permit is needed, we can help you identify if you need a permit and what kind of permit(s) are needed. While we specialize in City of Austin ROW Permitting, we can help you with other ROW permits as needed.
Having improper traffic control or performing unpermitted work may result in civil and criminal penalties depending on the jurisdiction you are working in. Penalties worsen if an incident occurs that leads to injury or death. That's where we come in. We provide you with the information and knowledge to make the best decisions to best protect you should something occur. When you set up safe and compliant traffic control, you give yourself the best opportunity to protect you, your people, your company, and the public.

Once you submit your permit request online via our Services page, we will review your request within 48 business hours and will reach out to you with a confirmation. During this review, we will ensure we have all the applicable information and let you know if more information is needed. Once we have the information needed, we will start the work to get you the permits you need. We offer two plans for permitting: Normal and Expedited.
Normal Service means that we will submit your permit application within five (5) business days of providing a confirmation that we received your request.
Expedited Service means that we will submit your permit application within 24 business hours of providing a confirmation that we received your request.
ROW permits are first come, first served on when the permit application is submitted so the sooner we submit your permit, the quicker you are likely to get your permit.
*Note: These timeframes do not guarantee a permit is issued as approval times are dependent on conflict resolutions with other permit holders, additional information required, and permitting delays outside our control. These timeframes mean that we get your permit submitted and begin the work on our end including resolving any potential permit conflicts, which helps reduce the review time. Permit review times are dependent on the City of Austin*

Additional services offered, such as permit expediting and inspections, may have an additional cost incurred.
